This cruise line is specifically designed for people who don’t do cruise! In fact, it is an informal way of cruising, where dining arrangements on board are mostly 24-hour buffet but there is as well a choice of four other dining venues (some with a cover charge), so you can usually eat wherever you like, with whoever you like, at whatever time you like and there is no formal dress code. The Ocean Village has two ships, the Ocean Village and the Ocean Village II. In 2008-2009, these magnificent vessels offer 4 different cruise itineraries in total which are described below. The Ocean Village II, launched in April 2007, with 11 decks and a capacity maximum of 2053 passengers The cabins are air-conditioned and feature wardrobe and drawer space, dressing table, easy chair and stool, television, direct dial phone, safe, fridge, hairdryer and tea and coffee making facilities. There are plenty of choices of bars, and entertainments for every taste with live bands, contemporary acrobatics, casino, etc. Leisure facilities include two pool (one for adults only), two Jacuzzis, Table Tennis, Ocean-view gym and for a supplement these other choices: Luxury Spa (including sauna, steam, massage and treatments rooms, personal training program), Lifestyle/fitness/yoga classes, hair and beauty salon, and mountain bikes for guided trips ashore. Moreover, the ship features a base camp’s kid’s centre, a night nursery, and the attic teen’s area for the children’s fun. Finally four shops, a launderette, a cyber zone (internet access) and a photo shop are also on the ship and available at extra charge. The Ocean Village is very similar to its sister ship, just a bit smaller with a capacity maximum of 1856 passengers.
This cruise line is British and consequently the language on board is English and there is unfortunately no assistance in foreign language, we strongly recommend that you understand English.
