Location

The British Virgin Islands are located approximately 1,200 miles southeast of Miami and 70 miles east of Puerto Rico. Peter Island is just five miles south of Tortola and is served by ferry, helicopter and private yacht of the property. Once you've arrived on this private island, you can easily get around so you can see the five pristine beaches and the 20 secluded coves. Air-conditioned resort shuttle vans are available to transport you to all areas of the resort.

Rooms

Whether you select an Ocean View room or suite in the luxurious hotel or choose a more spacious and private villa, you'll find the accommodations at Peter Island Resort intimate, comfortable and well-appointed. All accommodations are air conditioned, equipped with ceiling fans, king size beds and have bath with shower, mini-bar, CD player, hairdryer, coffee maker, telephones, and bathrobes. There are 32 Ocean View Rooms, 20 Beach Front Jr. Suites, and three Luxury Villas: one 6-bedroom villa, one 4-bedroom villa and one 3-bedroom villa. The rooms offer welcomed privacy, yet are only steps from the large freshwater pool. There are four accommodations are in each structure -- two up and two down. The golden roofs of Peter Island's Beach Front Suites peek through coconut palms at the far end of one of the most stunning beaches in the Caribbean. Each suite is surrounded with tropical gardens and has a balcony or patio overlooking Deadman's Bay and the British Virgin Islands beyond. Hammocks sway gently in the cool breeze and invite guests to relax and pamper themselves outdoors as well as within their elegant accommodations. The Full American Plan invites guests to enjoy breakfast, lunch, Afternoon Tea and dinner, all of which are prepared by the award-winning culinary team. Secluded by sea grape trees and towering palms, Deadman's Beach Bar & Grill offers lighter fare for lunch and dinner. The restaurant features a wood-fired pizza oven and expansive salad bar buffet, plus hot entrees, sandwiches, and Peter Island's "finger-lickin'-good" ribs. Peter Island Resort's Culinary Program is committed to providing a variety of new and exciting dining experiences. So, as you might imagine, the Seafood Buffet celebrates the bounty of the sea with 52 different items served from five individual stations. Each afternoon, Peter Island guests can partake of this English tradition with our tropical spin. Peter Island Resort's "Caribbean Tea" offers flavoured iced teas with fresh-baked pastries and Caribbean breads. Typical fare includes passion fruit, mango, rum, lemongrass or cinnamon tea with coconut drops, banana or carrot bread, and pancake-sized chocolate chip cookies. Everyone loves a party and Peter Island treats guests to "West Indian Night" each Monday at the beachside bar and grill. The festivities centre around traditional island fun, food, and entertainment.

Also, the Manager's Cocktail Party starts the celebration with an open bar and appetizers served in the gardens as the sun sets over the bay. A steel drum band plays Caribbean songs while guests and palms sway at the water's edge.
